Thank you, June!

June from New Hampshire knitted these wonderful hats for Marine Corps Kids. The pictures don't do justice to the hats. They are just gorgeous! The five small caps are sized for infants, and the maroon and white hats are for older kids! I know that the children and their moms will be absolutely delighted to receive these!

Thank you so much, June!

Thank you, Glee!!!

Thank you, Glee!!

Glee is a member of our great group in Kansas who have been sending lots of donations for the babies. I'm always delighted to see what they send!

This time Glee out did herself. All the booties are wonderful. The pink booties are made with the softest yarn that the babies and their moms will just love.

This time Glee included several pairs in an adorable sneaker design! They're so cute! Note the detail of the laces, stitching and the little Converse logo patch!! They're just delightful!

Thank you so much, Glee! These will be on there way to the kids this week!!

Thank you, Judy!

These adorable booties were sent by Judy from Kansas!

They arrived just in time for the fourth of July! They are soft and adorable, and the babies will love them!

Thank you, Judy, for your continued support! Your work is beautiful!

A message from the base

Many of the donations that we receive are sent to military bases where they are distributed to the families. Today I received an e-mail from a volunteer at 29 Palms in California, and I wanted to share it with all our donors. She writes:

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to let you know that I have received one box with the most beautiful baby items in it that I have ever seen.

I would very much like to express to you how grateful the Marines, Sailors, spouses, and family members are for how much support each item provides to us, but I really cannot find the words to explain exactly how much it means. So I would like to say thank you to each of you and ensure you know that it means the world to each of us.

Thank you so much,
Celeste

Thank you to all of our amazing crafters! Please keep those baby gifts coming!!!

Delightful Donations from Judy T

Wow! Imagine my delight when I opened a large box from Judy in PA and found all these precious gifts!

Judy has sent us many donations in the past, and her ongoing support is fabulous!

In this box she sent dozens of delightful projects! Many stuffed animals and dolls, a few hats, some purses for the older kids and some really adorable plastic canvas toys and crafts.

Judy, I can't thank you enough for your continued contributions and all these wonderful gifts! You are truly talented, and the children are going to love these!

Summer Set

Yesterday I made this little set for Marine Corps Kids. The short sleeved sweater and sun cap are made from cotton, so they'll be perfect for summer and early fall.

I used this pattern from the Kollegiate Hooker (with a few minor modifications) and made a simple sun hat to match.

They are so cute! So many different colors and textures - one pair is cuter than the next.

Baby Sweaters

These are two little cardigans that I made for Marine Corps Kids.

I used the free Short and Sweet Cardigan pattern available on the Lion Brand site. I love the pattern! It's very simple. Each of these sweaters was made in 2 short evenings.

The pastel version was made with TLC Baby Amore and will fit a toddler. The dusty rose sweater was made with Sugar 'N Cream Cotton and should fit a six month old baby.

Big Bag of Booties

The wonderful ladies from IAC in Kansas sent this bag of booties for the babies! There are about 60 pairs of booties here, and they are beautiful! They are soft and warm and in every color a baby and a new mom could want!

Many thanks to Judy, Glee, Patsy and Debbie!

These ladies all work together in their careers, and spend their free time crocheting together for the kids. I so appreciate your continued generosity and support, and know that the new mom's are delighted to receive your lovely gifts!
