Gailya does it Again!

I know that Gailya is unbelievably talented, but every time she sends another box for Marine Corps Kids, I'm just rendered speechless! Luckily, I can still type, so I can show you the beautiful things that she sent for the babies!!

The first photo shows 12 burp clothes. These are contoured to fit over the shoulder, and are made with a variety of adorable cloth patterns. Very beautifully made and very practical!

The second photo is just 2 of 24 fleece and ribbon blankies. These are soft pieces of fleece with different color and textured ribbons sewn around the edges. Babies love to feel the texture of the ribbons. My niece was given a similar gift when she was very little. Now she's over two, and it's still her security blanket. I know that the Marine Babies will love these!

The next photo shows 2 quilted changing pads. Perfect for the nursery or to throw in the diaper bag for on the go changings.

The last two photos show one of the most magnificent patch-work quilts I have ever seen! I couldn't manage to take a photo that does justice to this work of art. I tried to take a detail shot, but you really not not grasp how incredibly beautiful this quilt is! So many pieces of fabric where precisely cut and sewn together to make this intricately patterned quilt. One of our Marine Moms will be delighted to receive this, and I'm sure it will become a family heirloom!

Thank you Gailya for all these gifts and for your continued support of Marine Corps Kids!

Thank you, Ruth!

These gorgeous quilts and fleece blankets were made and donated by Ruth from Oregon.

Ruth is a Marine Corps mom who has used her amazing talent to support other Marine Corps Family Foundation efforts like Operation Santa.

The photos really do not do justice to how magnificent these quilts are! You can see how adorable the designs are, but you can't really see the love and workmanship that went into creating these lovely blankets.

I know that the new mom's will adore these, and that they will be used, cherished and saved for another generation.

Thank you, Ruth!

Thank you, Kathy!

Some people seem to have so much talent!!! Kathy from Alabama is one of those people! She made these gorgeous pieces for Marine Corps Kids.

As usual, the photos don't do justice to the work. The quilt is just adorable! The fleece blanket is edged with crocheted shells, and a newborn baby girl is going to love how soft and warm it is. The two crochet caps are soft and adorable, and these quilted bibs are just a few of 12 that Kathy made.

Kathy, thank you so much for your ongoing support of Marine Corps Kids and for all you do for others! Your work and your generous spirit are beautiful!

Thank you, Brenda!

This adorable quilt was made and donated by Brenda from Alabama and sent to us by Kathy. There is a really wonderful story about it - you can read it on Kathy's blog.

It's so wonderful when people choose to donate their craft work to others, and story's like that of Brenda and Kathy aren't uncommon. It warms my heart that so many people choose to share their talent with others!

Thank you Brenda! A new mom and her baby are going to love this.

Thank you, Barbara!!

These adorable baby caps were made by Barbara from New Hampshire.

I think the photo shows the beautiful colors, but it doesn't provide any idea of just how soft and warm these hats are! They're really wonderful!!!

There are many babies on the way, and I'm sure that they are going to just love these new hats!

Thank you, Barbara, for your continued support of Marine Corps Kids!
