Buddy, can you spare a dime?

It's never easy to ask for money, but when it's for a great cause, it's worth the asking.

Thanks to the generosity of our charitable crafters and the support of Marine Corps Family Foundation, we've been able to send gifts to hundreds of babies born to our deployed Marines and Soldiers. The needs are ongoing, and I'm delighted that more and more people are hearing about our cause and sending gifts for the kids!

Distributing these gifts to our military families costs money. We are working with volunteers on bases to help us distribute the gifts, and this keeps our operating costs at a minimum. Still, there is an ongoing need for funds to cover postage costs.

Marine Corps Kids has no overhead costs. 100% of donated funds are used to cover our postage charges. Your tax deductible donations can be made with PayPal on-line through the Marine Corps Family Foundation site , or you can send a check to:

Marine Corps Family Foundation
4000 Lancaster Drive- Suite 57
Salem, OR 97309

Just mark your on-line donation or check "Marine Corps Kids" and it will be earmarked for our postage costs.

Every dollar helps. Thank you for your generosity!!

Delia

Not able to do that right now, but do have some hats and booties I'd like to send. It's been awhile since I've had anything to donate and wanted to touch base to make sure you were still up and running and wanting these types of donations. They are various sizes, I think some might work for preemie; but generally I believe they are newborn.

Sing out (just pop over to one of my blogs), I could perhaps include a page of stamps; would that be helpful?

Checking back. Is the group still active? You've not posted in such a long time, and I haven't heard back from you. Didn't want to mail if the group was no more.

Yes, Sandy. We are still very very active. The general posts about what we do are dated to keep them at the top of the blog, but I do continue to add new blog posts as we receive donations - you can see them all if you scroll down.

Thought I'd check in once more before sending the hats elsewhere. When I didn't hear back from you(figured you pop over and answer or email me so I would know); and the post you see is from last Dec, I was worried.

Guess 3rd times the charm.

I understand the post at top with address the sticky one, I think that's what they call it; but I read down to the next one which was Dec of 09, thus my confusion.

Will address today.

Popping back in to say your box is here addressed and ready, has been for 4 days. I've been sick, and didn't make it to the post office. Hoping to tomorrow. Didn't want you to think it had gotten lost.

thanks

Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for all you are doing for the kids with Marine parents. You have a worthy cause going here and we have posted a link on your site to promote what you are doing here.
