More hats from Georgia

My friend Marlene (co-creator of the Edgerydoo) sent me a box of 25 beautiful baby caps.

Marlene is active with Project Linus - another great charity organization that donates hand-crafted blankets to children who are ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need of love and security.

Project Linus only donates blankets, so when a local volunteers in Georgia sent Marlene these gorgeous caps, she asked her permission to send them to Marine Corps Kids. These caps are soft and warm and beautiful! My thanks to Marlene and to the wonderful lady in Georgia who made these lovely hats! I wish I knew her name so I could thank her properly!

During Memorial Day weekend, it is especially nice to receive these donations and to pass them on to our military families as a small token of our gratitude.

So cute......and soft looking. Wondering if they were made on the loom? Do you know by chance?

In answer to Sandy! Yes they were made on a loom. My 86 yr old Mom made the hats. She quilts for Project Linus. You have no idea how thrilled she was that you appreciated the hats. She cried when she saw the picture and the nice article. Just goes to show that little things mean a lot. Thanks so much for showing the picture of the hats. You really made her day!

Russ, I hope you'll share this comment with your mother - her hats are beautiful, and she is wonderful to make them and send them to kids in need. If she would like to share her name, I will update the post to properly thank her!

Mary is an inspiration with her dedication to the children. She has been sewing for years to help Project Linus. She is a lovely person and I am proud to be her friend.

I am sure she appreciated knowing her efforts went to such a wonderful cause.
