Holiday Gift Drive
Here in Indiana the weather turned cold today. Winter is approaching, and with it the holiday season.
As in the past, this year we will be sending gifts for the families during the holiday season. In addition to the bundles that we send for the newborns, we will be sending hand-crafted hats, scarves and toys for older children and their moms.
Your hand crafted donations are appreciated. We have thousands of families on the bases that we serve, and hundreds of children who will be delighted to receive a gift during the holidays.
Thank you to all our donors for your continued support!!

Another package from Diane!
Diane from Ohio sent in another package for the babies. This one includes 25 of her wonderful quilted balls, 5 hat and bootie sets, and 2 pairs of booties. They are all beautiful!!
Diane is preparing for a move, but still took the time to make these gorgeous gifts for the babies! Thank you so much, Diane! Your continued support is very much appreciated!
Thank you, Rebecca!
Today I received a package and letter from Rebecca in Oregon. She wrote:
Dear Marine Corps Kids,
I found your website quite by accident one day while searching for a baby hat pattern on Ravelry. I loved the idea of supporting military families in this way. And it was the perfect excuse to pull out the baby patterns; something I don't get to do very often these days.
Thank you for providing an opportunity to show military families their sacrifices for their country are appreciated. I hope these items bring joy to whoever receives them.
Thank you, Rebecca for your beautiful donations! The sweaters and hats are wonderful, and will be much loved by the families who receive them!

For the Babies
When I send gifts to the babies, I try to create bundles including gifts from several donors. The contents of each bundle varies depending on what I have received and have available. Generally I will send a blanket and wrap it around several other items to create each gift. It may include a sweater, toy, booties and hats. Each gift is unique and contains the love that all of our crafters put into their creations.
Thank you to all of our Marine Corps Kids donors who continue to support this effort and who make what we do possible!
Thank you Gretna and Donna!
Today I received a large box from Donna in South Carolina. In it were some gorgeous blankets and hats made by her mother, Gretna. The blankets are absolutely beautiful and will be much loved and appreciated by the new moms and their babies!
Thank you so much, Gretna and Donna, for thinking of Marine Corps Kids, and for supporting our military families with your beautiful gifts!
Thanks to "The Chain Gang"!
Co-workers from the IAC Group in Kansas City have been long time donors of Marine Corps Kids! They work together as a group called "The Chain Gang" to crochet lovely gifts for the babies.
Today I received a package with gifts from Patsy, Donna and Judy. In it were four beautiful blankets, some adorable booties, and some great bibs and wash clothes for the babies.
Thank you so much to all the ladies of The Chain Gang for your continued generosity and your beautiful gifts!
Dolls from Nancy
Nancy from Jackson, Michigan sent in 8 beautiful dolls for the older children. I only unwrapped one to photograph, but you can see how pretty they all are in the picture.
These dolls will be sent to the older Marine Corps Kids during our holiday gift drive.
Thank you so much, Nancy, for thinking of Marine Corps Kids and for supporting our military families with this lovely donation. The dolls are absolutely beautiful, and I know that the girls will be delighted to receive them!

Judy from Pennsylvania has been a long time donor to Marine Corps Kids. Today I received a box from Judy. In it were 13 bib and wash cloth sets, 14 hats and 3 scarves. The hats and scarves will be great for some of the older siblings, and every new mom can not have enough bibs and wash clothes!
Thank you so much, Judy, for your continued support!

Ongoing needs!
The babies keep coming, and we have ongoing needs for donations.
Just today I dropped off bundles for 40 babies at the post office. Then I found out I need 30 more bundles. I have hats, but can really use more blankets, sweaters, booties and toys.
If you have the time and means to make baby items for Marine Corps Kids, your donations will be so much appreciated.
Thank you!
