Thank you, Judy, Rose, Lindsey and Dorothy!

Judy, Rose, Lindsey and Dorothy from Kansas sent in a box for the kids. In it are many wash cloth and bib sets, some adorable booties, and a gorgeous blanket and matching cap.

The hats and bibs are from Judy. Dorothy, Lindsey and Rose made the wash cloths and booties, and Rose made the lovely quilt.

Thank you, Ladies!!! Your donations are so appreciated and will be very cherished by the moms who receive them!

Thank you, Karen!

Karen from California sent in another package for the kids. Karen has been making hats for the babies, but just tried her hand at making booties as well. They are just darling and will be wonderful to help keep those newborn feet toasty this Fall!

Thank you so much, Karen, for your continued support!

Thank you, Pauline

Pauline in Oregon sent in two more wrapped packages for the babies. Pauline's husband is a veteran, and she has been amazingly supportive of Marine Corps Kids and our military families.

Thank you so much, Pauline! Your generosity is appreciated!

More from Project Linus!

Thank you to all the Project Linus "Blanketeers" who worked on these beautiful blankets!

Thank you, Project Linus!!!

Project Linus is a wonderful charitable crafting group that does some great work!

Project Linus is comprised of hundreds of local chapters and thousands of volunteers across the United States. Each volunteer and local chapter all work together to help us achieve our mission which is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."
Pam Braden, the chapter coordinator for Project Linus in Flushing, Michigan sent us 12 beautiful baby quilts and blankets for the newborns. I'm a sucker for a handmade quilt, so I was absolutely delighted to open the box and see the beautiful things inside. There are gorgeous hand-made quilts and beautifully edged fleece blankets. In this and the next post you can see the beautiful items sent in from Project Linus.

This is not the first time that Project Linus members have sent blankets for Marine Corps Kids. They have supported us often throughout the years, and we appreciate all the donations that we've received!

Thank you, Mary!

Mary from Georgia sent in 36 of her warm and cozy hats for the newborns!! Thank you so much, Mary! As always, your hats are delightful and are sure to be treasured by the new moms who receive them for their babies.

Baby Sweater

My new job has me working so many hours that I don't get to crochet as much for Marine Corps Kids as I would like. I did just finish this little sweater that I'll be donating though. It feels good to have time to make something for the kids!
