Yesterday, long time MCK donor Karen was listening to a radio program on Wisconsin Public Radio about knitting. During the program, Karen called into the radio station and talked about Marine Corps Kids! She talked about what we do in terms of charitable crafting and also mentioned our very talented group of male inmates who knit and crochet for Marine Corps Kids.
I searched the web, and was able to find a link to the radio program online. Our crafters might enjoy hearing this story, and about 3/4 of the way through you can hear Karen call in and talk about Marine Corps Kids!
Thank you so much, Karen! It was exciting listening to you on the program. Who knows how many people just learned about Marine Corps Kids and what we do because of you!

I thought you might enjoy a website for the inmates that contribute. This website was designed and updated by the University of Oregon, as our sponsors for the Prison, Peace, and Compassion symposiums. Our website is Hooks, Yarns, and Bars.
I hope you enjoy reading about our program.
