We won an Award!!!

Sandie from Crafty Corral nominated us for her "I Love Your Blog Award"!

Thank you so much, Sandie! That means a lot to me!! Marine Corps Kids isn't my blog - it's a blog to support our charity and the beautiful work that all our donors do for this great cause! In honoring this blog , you recognize all of the wonderful individuals who so lovingly support our cause, and the Military families who's work and sacrifice support us all.

The "rules" of this award, is that I'm supposed to pay it forward and nominate 7 of my favorite blogs.

Here are the rules:
1) Add the logo of the award to your blog.
2) Add a link to the person who awarded it to you (as shown above).
3) Nominate at least seven other blogs.
4) Add links to those blogs on your blog.
5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.

This is not an easy task because there are so many great blogs and bloggers out there. My seven selections below are links to the blogs of some of Marine Corps Kids donors. Please check out these blogs, and Sandie's (link above)! All of these bloggers have helped to support Marine Corps Kids, and do some really wonderful work for charity!

My seven nominations, in no particular order, are:

1. Deb's Crafts - Handicrafts for Charity
2. Kathy's Crochet Cabin
3. Flyin' Needles , by Stacy
4. Sandy's Space
5. Crochet All Day, by Sara
6. Beading Help Web, by Lynn
7. 25 Things for Charity, by Cindy

These are just a few blogs by our charity crafters. I hope you enjoy their work and their blogs as much as I!

Wow!! Thank you, Lynn!!!

Lynn from AZ sent us another fabulous package of donations!!!

Lynn might be Marine Corps Kids mad hatter. She loves to crochet hats, and she has been amazingly generous in sending them for our Military families.

Once again, Lynn has dazzled me with her wonderful gifts. I didn't actually count, but the photos above show that Lynn literally sent dozens and dozens of caps. She made the cutest caps in so many pretty colors, and she also made a new girly hat pattern. The photos show the quantity but not the beautiful quality of Lynn's work! I tried to take a close-up shot of the girly bonnets to show the adorable design!

And Lynn knows that babies can't go out in hats alone! She sent some really adorable store bought outfits for the kids too.

Lynn - the mom's will be so delighted to receive your beautiful gifts!! Thank you for your continued generosity!!!! Your work is lovely!!

Thank you, Sandy!

Sandy from Ohio sent these wonderful gifts for the kids!

I know that the photo doesn't do them justice, but these tiny booties are just precious, the cap/bootie set is beautiful, and the striped blanket is just magnificent!

Thank you so much Sandy!

These will be on their way to the babies soon!!!

Thank you, Jody!!!

These lovely knit and crochet items came from Jody in Florida!

They are even more sweet in person!! The little sweaters and the dress are absolutely adorable! The small bundles that you see are wonderful cotton bib and washcloth sets, and really wonderful socks (I tried crocheting socks exactly once, and am in awe of all of you who can do them and have them turn out right!).

Thank you so much, Jody! Our new moms will love receiving these darling gifts!!!

Thank you, Judy!!

This week I received two wonderful boxes of donations!

The first was from Judy from Pennsylvania. Once again, Judy managed to amaze me with so many adorable sets for the kids. These pictures are just a small representation of all the lovely items that Judy sent. Check out our photo album (link to the right of our main page) to see all of her lovely work!! There are so many cute sweaters, ponchos and hats. And Judy makes the cutest stuffed toys. I just adore the baby sting-ray that she made!

Thank you so much Judy! We always appreciate your generosity, and these adorable sets will be sent to the kids this week!

Change of Address

We have a new address for donations!

We've been here for about a week, but apparently the USPS couldn't find us. A few stops at the post office and we're finally ready to receive mail.

The new address for craft donations is:

Marine Corps Kids
4524 E. Beardsley Drive
Bloomington, IN 47401

We've been inactive for a few weeks, but the babies keep coming. Please keep those needles and hooks moving, and send your donations for our Military families.

Thanks for your patience and for your continued support!

Almost Ready!!!

We're finally at our new address!

I need to speak with the people at the post office to figure out the package delivery system here, but I'll be back within the next few days to post our new address for donations!

Please bear with me while I work out a few details, and then we'll be ready to receive donations and send them to our military families.

Thank you!!!
