Lovely Blankets from NJ
Today I received a box containing two gorgeous crocheted blankets. There was no note in the box and no return address on the package. The box was mailed from Clinton, NJ.
Many thanks to whoever made these gorgeous blankets! The crocheting is just gorgeous! The stitches are so tight, and the fabric is soft and drapes beautifully! I know that the moms who receive these will be thrilled!
Thank you, Ruth!
A box arrived today from Ruth in Oregon. In it were 12 adorable fleece blankets that Ruth sewed while she had a cast on her arm and hand! The blankets are so cute. They are warm and soft, and the fabrics are just delightful.
I'm not sure how Ruth managed to make these with a cast on her arm, but I do know that the families will love them.
Ruth is also a Marine Corps Mom. Thank you, Ruth, for this lovely gift!

Thank you, Judy!
Judy from Pennsylvania has been crafting for Marine Corps Kids since we started distributing gifts in 2007. She has made many babies smile with her adorable toys, pillows, sweaters and hats.
This week Judy sent in some lovely hats and sweaters along with a note. She said that she is having trouble crocheting, but wanted to send some things in time for Christmas. She writes:
"I continue to follow your blog and have been blown away by the beautiful creative items you have been receiving. It warms my heart to see all the talented people donating their time and crafts. Marine Corps Kids holds a very special place in my heart!"
I can't tell you, Judy, how much that means to me. It is people like you who donate so generously that make what we do possible. I feel truly blessed to have "met" so many wonderful people through Marine Corps Kids!
Thanks to Cindy and Hazel
This week I received a large box and a beautiful note from Cindy and her mother, Hazel, in Florida. Cindy wrote:
"After surfing the internet to locate an organization to share my homemade items, I found the blessing of your kindness to our veterans and their families. My mother and I make these different items on a regular basis to share. Now that I have found you, there will be more on the way."
I feel very blessed that Cindy and Hazel found us! They have sent in so many beautiful items! I love all the hats, scarves, booties, outfits and slippers, but I was completely blown away by the handmade dolls! How delightful!
I know that the moms will be so happy to receive all of these lovely items! Thank you both so much!
More from the Sassy Stitchers!
Thank you, Martha!

Ruth from Seattle, WA is a huge supporter of Marine Corps Kids. She has sent so many wonderful gifts for the babies.
Today I received a box of fleece hats for some of the older kids. Ruth made 35 hats, and they are all soft, colorful and incredibly cute. Some have tassels on top, some look like puppy ears - all are adorable!

Hats from Becky
Becky in Georgia read about Marine Corps Kids in Women's Day magazine and crocheted 43 hats for the kids!
The photos show 37 baby hats and 6 ear-flap kids hats which will be great for some of the older kids!
Thank you so much Becky! These hats are wonderful, and we're so happy that you chose to support our military families through Marine Corps Kids!
Thank you Melody!
These two delightful quilts were made and sent in by Melody from Orange County, CA.
They are amazing! It's hard to tell that there are actually two quilts here. Melody used fabrics in several different patterns and textures, and included fabric with the Marine Corps logo in the quilts.
They are cotton and corduroy and are lined with flannel. I think that the families who receive these will be thrilled!
Thank you so much Melody!

Thank you, June
Today a box arrived from June in Louisiana. June wrote that she is a Marine Corps wife and mom. She's now also part of our Marine Corps Kids family of crafters!
June is amazingly talented, and as per usual, the photos do not do justice to her work. Everything she sent is just beautiful! The little boy sweater and hat just blew me away. I adore the double breasted front with that gorgeous collar, and the cable work is lovely!
I packed up gift bundles to send out today, and this set is ready to ship to a lucky little guy!
Thank you so much, June! The new mothers will be delighted to receive these gorgeous gifts!
More from Pauline
Today another two gifts arrived from Pauline in Oregon. Pauline is incredibly generous with Marine Corps Kids and has done so much to support our military families. Every few weeks another box arrives from Pauline with 2 or 3 blanket/hat sets for the babies.
You can't see the beauty of her crafting because she chooses to wrap her gifts, but she is amazingly talented, and her work is beautiful!
Thank you so much, Pauline, for your ongoing support!
